Commercial Photographer South Africa
Commercial and editorial photography for brands, agencies and creative projects across South Africa and beyond. Cinematic, intentional imagery built to tell your brand’s story with honesty, atmosphere and light.
As a commercial photographer with over eleven years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of South Africa’s most recognisable brands. For four consecutive years I was the photographer behind the Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award South Africa — one of the country’s most prestigious celebrations of women in leadership. That work demanded precision, discretion and the ability to capture authentic moments under pressure. It’s the standard I bring to every brief.
My approach to commercial photography is rooted in authenticity. No over-directed, overly polished imagery that looks like everyone else’s — instead, visuals that feel real, lived-in and genuinely yours. From product and lifestyle campaigns to editorial shoots for magazines and agencies, every frame is considered and every detail deliberate.
I operate as a studio on wheels — professional lighting, backdrops and full production gear that travels wherever the shoot demands. A game farm in the Lowveld, a rooftop in Johannesburg, a boutique hotel in Cape Town — the studio comes to you. South African commercial photographers working at this level rarely offer this kind of flexibility. No compromises on quality, no limitations on location.
Notable work includes the Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award South Africa, Land Rover x Mo’s Crib, CameraStuff and editorial work for GQ South Africa. Each project brings the same commitment — commercial photography that earns attention and holds it.
Whether you’re a brand needing campaign imagery, an agency looking for a reliable creative partner, or a business ready to invest in visuals that actually convert — let’s make something worth seeing.
Based in the Lowveld, available in Cape Town, Johannesburg and worldwide.
My commercial work spans a range of formats, each shaped around the same principle: the image has to feel true, not staged. That includes corporate headshots and executive portraits for founders and leadership teams who need something sharper than a standard LinkedIn photo, product photography for brands that want their work shown with the same editorial eye I bring to portraits, and full campaign shoots built around a concept from the ground up.
In Cape Town, that’s meant working with boutique hospitality brands and creative agencies who want imagery that reflects the city’s light and landscape without falling into cliche. In Johannesburg, it’s meant corporate and editorial commissions — headshots for leadership teams, campaign work for agencies, and collaborations with brands who need a photographer comfortable moving between a studio setup and a rooftop location shoot in the same week.
Every commercial shoot starts the same way: understanding what the brand needs the image to do, then building a shot list and location plan around that, rather than showing up with a fixed formula. Whether it’s a single portrait for a press kit or a full day of campaign imagery, the goal is a set of images a brand can actually use — across their website, social, and print — without needing another shoot six months later.
That flexibility is a big part of why brands and agencies keep coming back — whether the brief calls for a controlled studio setup, a location scout across a city, or a shoot that needs to happen fast and on the move. Based between the Lowveld, Cape Town and Johannesburg, with work extending internationally, I bring the same editorial standard to every commission, no matter where it happens.
