Siobhan is an absolute master in what she does. From the moment I arrived: the studio is ready for action & there is music playing and laughter all around.
Even for an awkward person (such as myself), this experience was one of the best I’ve had in front of a camera. The final product is beyond anything I ever expected. I can highly recommend them.

In March 2020, I found myself at a crossroads. The pandemic had disrupted my plans for a year filled with wedding shoots, challenging my aspirations of becoming a full-time wedding photographer.
During this uncertain time, I discovered a generous photographer offering a week of free access to her educational site. I eagerly took advantage of the opportunity, with a dream of one day opening my own portrait studio. The thought of the potential costs was daunting, but my determination was stronger.
Then, in June, Palesa reached out. She needed portraits for her Miss South Africa entry, seeking a studio ambiance. With limited resources, I improvised: a bed frame, a curtain, and natural light. The result was a striking image that I proudly shared online.
Unexpectedly, people began to ask if I had a portrait studio. My initial response was, “Not yet!”
The interest continued to grow, and within two years, my portrait studio transformed into a thriving, welcoming, and empowering space.
That one week of business training became the foundation of my success.
Siobhan Brazier is a portrait photographer based in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. With 9 years of experience capturing people from all walks of life, she thrives on diversity and revealing the natural beauty in everyone.
“For me, it’s essential to see everyone and anyone reflected in my work. Living in a diverse country with so many different cultures and backgrounds, I strive to ensure this richness is evident in my photography.
Portrait photography is delicate; it involves working with a client’s confidence. A bad shoot can easily shatter someone’s self-esteem, so I focused on creating an experience that leaves clients in awe, with their confidence boosted.
My portrait studio is built around this concept. It’s designed to be a comfortable and welcoming space.
Choosing to get a professional portrait done—whether for business, personal, or to celebrate a life change—isn’t easy. I have immense respect for my clients who choose to sit in front of my lens. It’s a humbling experience.
As I continue to grow as a photographer and enhance my skillset, I am always improving what I offer at my studio. I look forward to what the future holds in this career.”
