About Our Portrait Studio

Welcome to our portrait studio

About our luxury portrait studio in Gauteng South Africa. S Brazier Photography

Siobhan is an absolute master in what she does. From the moment I arrived: the studio is ready for action & there is music playing and laughter all around.

Even for an awkward person (such as myself), this experience was one of the best I’ve had in front of a camera. The final product is beyond anything I ever expected. I can highly recommend them.

The Studio's Story

“In March 2020, I was in a slump. The pandemic hit and that year was supposed to be the year that I shot many weddings and hopefully transition into full-time wedding photography.

I came across a photographer giving away free access to her education site for one week. I decided to go through with it in hopes of creating a portrait studio one day. I thought “man this is going to cost me so much money”.

In June, Palesa sent me a message saying she needs portraits for her Miss South Africa entry. She wanted more of a studio vibe and I said, well let’s see what we can do. A bed frame with a curtain pegged to it and natural light created this image.

I posted it because I thought it was a beautiful image. Once I posted it, I got message from people asking if I had a portrait studio now. I said no, not really!

More people began to take interest and in two-years the portrait studio has grown to a profitable space that is warm, comforting and empowering.

My little business training week set me up for success!”

About Siobhan

Siobhan Brazier is a portrait photographer based in Vanderbijlpark , Gauteng. With 8 years of experience in capturing people from all walks of life, she thrives on diversity and capturing the essence of people and their natural beauty.

“For me, I wanted to see everyone and anyone in my work. I live in a diverse country with people from so many different cultures and backgrounds – I needed to ensure that it reflects in my work.

Portrait photography is a delicate job in the sense that you are working with the client’s confidence. It is very easy to crush someone’s confidence with a bad shoot so I needed to figure out how I could create an experience that left the client in awe and with a boosted confidence.

My portrait studio is built around that entire concept and it is built to be a comfortable and welcoming space.

It’s not easy deciding to get a professional portrait done – whether it’s for your business, yourself or to celebrate a change in your life.

I have so much respect for my clients who decide that they want to sit down in front of my lens and get their portrait taken. It is such a humbling experience.

As I grow as a photographer and grow my skillset, I am constantly improving what I offer at my studio. I look forward to what the future holds in this career.”
